During Lindsay Lohan's visit to the "Late Show with David Letterman" Tuesday night, the actress took some time to bring Dave up to speed on her schedule.
Letterman repeatedly went back to the rehab topic, even though Lohan joked that they hadn't discussed it in their pre-interview. For the most part, she played along as Dave brought up some of the tabloid-worthy items from her past and the monologue jokes he made about them, but at one point she refused to let the host read one of his prepared bits.
Lindsay joked that it was her show now, and as soon as she was out of rehab she'd come back and make the change permanent. But Lohan also said that rehab isn't something she takes lightly. She called it an opportunity and a blessing rather than a curse. She even got a little teary eyed when Letterman complimented her for having enough spine, poise, and sense of herself to come out and talk to him.
It wasn't always easy, but Lohan also tried to steer the conversation to her career as an actress. She's set to make a guest appearance on Charlie Sheen's FX show "Anger Management," and she and Sheen also appear together in the new comedy Scary Movie 5. The film arrives in theaters this Friday, April 12th.
