TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – If you’ve passed by Busch Gardens lately you may have noticed the park’s newest thrill ride going up and down.

Park Spokesman Travis Claytor says they're testing the ride, called ‘Falcon's Fury,’ before opening it to the public.

“Safety is our primary concern and the safety of our guests and our team members is certainly the most important thing to us. We are going through that ride testing to make sure that everything is working as it should and that everybody is safe.

The opening of the ride was previously pushed back in May while waiting for parts from overseas, but those parts are now here and installed.

Claytor says they’ll have a better idea of when the ride will open once the ride testing is complete. The hope is late Summer.

The ride is expected to be the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America.
