Tampa Bay Lightning try to get the attention of Ellen DeGeneres

Tampa Bay Lightning try to get the attention of Ellen DeGeneres

For the fifth straight year, Lightning players and staff shaved their heads in the annual Bright House Networks Cut for a Cure Charity Challenge presented by Carrabba's Italian Grill, a fundraising campaign where more than 200 men, women, and children are going bald to raise funds and awareness for select nonprofit organizations.

A bunch of players shaved their heads to raise funds for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation alongside more than 30 staff members, with several more head shavings to take place throughout the campaign which ends on May 2, 2014.

A Vine of Barberio having his head shaved rips my heart out. He is so gorgeous, and I loved his long hair (I am such a sucker for long flowing locks). But I have to say, he  is still hot with the shorter do :)

The team even tweeted a photo of their take on the Oscar selfie to Ellen DeGeneres. Just another reason why I <3 hockey players!

Oh, and before I forget...Coach Cooper had the team do a 'Strip Shootout' to break them out of their shootout slump. Wish I could have been there for that!
