I have recently fallen in love with figs and goat cheese. I saw this recipe on Pinterest and decided to try it. Recalled the recipe from memory, so here it goes...
Slice the figs in quarters, without cutting through, to create a "pocket". Stuff some goat cheese crumbles in the pocket. Don't over stuff.
Place in a preheated 425 degree oven for 12-15 min. Remove and drizzle honey on top of the roasted figs. Crack black pepper on top to finish.
The black pepper really made this, so don't be afraid of it and leave it off. See you can have a healthy and delicious dessert!
