What was Tampa like in the year 1880?

As we get excited for downtown Tampa's Water Street to take shape and the newly announced "Midtown" project on Dale Mabry and I-275, lets look back at Tampa Bay in the year 1880, when only 720 people called Tampa home, downtown was a giant orange grove and Tampa was a sleepy town that not many knew about. Then the Massive Tampa Bay hotel was finished and things started to change. 

Now that we know a bit more about the history of Tampa, lets take a look at the FUTURE of this growing city!
