The Tampa Bay area is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning as Michael appears it will strengthen into a Category 2 hurricane. It it projected to make landfall on the Florida Panhandle.
Obviously, it will impact us in some way here in the Tampa Bay area.
The National Hurricane Center issued the Tropical Storm Watch from the Suwannee River to Anna Maria Island, which includes the Tampa Bay. It also issued a Storm Surge Watch from Navarre (in the Panhandle), to Anna Maria Island.
Storm Surge Watch means the Tampa Bay area could see flooding from rising water moving inland from the coast over the two days.
