Simple Creatures Share New Song 'Adrenaline'

Mark Hoppus and Alex Gaskarth are gearing up to release their first EP as Simple Creatures on Friday (March 29) and have given us one more taste from the upcoming six-song collection. "Adrenaline" is another example of how the blink-182 bassist/singer and All Time Low frontman incorporate pop punk elements from their main bands, while adding gritty electronic textures to create what they like to call Trash Pop.

Strange Love is the proverbial foot-kicking-down-the-door to the house of Simple Creatures,” Gaskarth said of the band's debut EP in a press release. “We picked these songs to represent everything that this project is about, to defy expectations and to showcase the stylistic choices we set out to make from its inception. The approach to writing was, ‘whatever makes us feel like we’re way outside of our comfort zone.’ We weren’t afraid to push each other and strive to get stranger.”

Listen to "Adrenaline" below.

"Adrenaline" follows the EP's title track, "Strange Love," and lead single "Drug." To celebrate the EP's release, the duo will be playing a handful of gigs in cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and London, with more yet to be announced tour dates to follow.
