Surprise... SeaWorld and Busch Gardens CEO Quits After Seven Months

ORLANDO -- A surprise... as the CEO of the parent company of Sea World and Busch Gardens steps down after seven months on the job.

SeaWorld Entertainment announced that Gustavo Antorcha stepped down Monday afternoon.

The company said in an Securities and Exchange Commission filing that Antorcha resigned because of the board's involvement in decision making.

Chief Financial Officer Marc Swanson is now the interim CEO. Swanson has been with the company for 19 years. Antorcha says he'll stay on to help with the transition.

SeaWorld, which owns the Sea World and Busch Gardens theme parks, has had three different people in the corner office in the past year and a half.
