Questions About The New Tampa Bay Rays 2020 Ballpark

The Tampa Bay Rays have announced a new ballpark for here in Tampa, right in Ybor City! If you haven't read the full announcement... >>> Click Here for the full story from 970 WFLA

On to the facts:

  1. It will be the smallest MLB stadium in the entire league - 32,000 seats.
  2. Will cost nearly $900 Million to complete the project.
  3. It would be open in 2023 for the Rays to Play Ball!

My questions:

  • How much of the Tampa Bay residents tax dollars will be used towards this project?
  • What will the parking situation actually be like?
  • Will Adamo Drive be a mess to commute - even to get to IKEA?
  • Can there be a shared parking garage to be split between Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning games?
