A Drug Rampant Around Tampa Bay, This Is Why You Don't Do Meth

There are many cool things about my job - however, there's another side of my job which isn't so nice. As a DJ, I come in contact with people of all types... many of them successful, others who have a bit of a struggle.

However, there's a certain group of people which hits me hard when I see them... whether it be in person, or on an arrest website which I browse nearly daily. Faces of strangers, faces of people I have met in the past - some faces I even remember going to school with. Faces of Meth.

Sheriff's offices from all around Tampa Bay have recognized Meth as running completely rampant in Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando Counties.

Here are some Before and After photos of Meth, also, below that is a video of people telling their story of addiction with the drug.

Here are some real stories from people who have used Meth before...

Methamphetamine - meth for short - is a very addictive stimulant drug. It is a powder that can be made into a pill or a shiny rock (called a crystal). The powder can be eaten or snorted up the nose. It can also be mixed with liquid and injected into your body with a needle. Crystal meth is smoked in a small glass pipe.
Meth at first causes a rush of good feelings, but then users feel edgy, overly excited, angry, or afraid. Meth use can quickly lead to addiction. It causes medical problems including
Making your body temperature so high that you pass out
Severe itching
"Meth mouth" - broken teeth and dry mouth
Thinking and emotional problems
