There Are Certain Amounts You're Not Allowed To Bet On Jeopardy

When I was growing up, I would sit on the floor at my grandma's house when she was watching me... and we'd always watch Jeopardy. I didn't know most of the trivial answers - but I loved watching contestants take charge and really rally a great win.

What I didn't realize was Jeopardy had some serious rules behind the long running television game show - contestants were not allowed to bet certain amounts.

COS covered these banned amounts in an article:

Turns out $69 is one of five banned wager amounts, though the other four are drastically less sexy. The devil’s number, $666, is similarly banned, as are three numbers associated with neo-Nazi propaganda ($14, $88, and $1488).

Even famous Jeopardy contestant Ken Jennings pointed out and verified there are banned amounts!

So far... they have NOT banned $420... so Snoop Dogg can still place his bet.
