This weekend was full of new confirmed cases of coronavirus across the country including new states like New York, Rhode Island and Oregon. Two people died in Washington state from the virus.
Governor Ron Desantis has declared a public health emergency in Florida after two people in Tampa Bay have tested 'presumptively positive' for coronavirus. The Hillsborough County resident recently traveled to Italy. The Manatee County resident had not traveled abroad. Both adults are being self-quarantined.
Governor Ron De Santis said he’ll be in Tampa today to discuss response efforts.
Health officials say if you think you have coronavirus which includes a fever and upper respiratory symptoms like the flu or a bad cold, call ahead to your doctor before going in so they can isolate you for testing.
