A Mix Morning Show Listener Needs a Kidney!

Hey there Laura,

This is Jessica Suarez. I'm not sure if you wanted some background information, but here it goes... I have been on dialysis for about 2 1/2 years now. I have Lupus(SLE) which is what affected my kidneys. I received my first kidney transplant back in 2014. It lasted 5 years before failing and becoming toxic. I had to have it removed. Now the doctors say this time I will need to find a living donor. Already having a transplant that failed makes it harder to find a match due to the antibodies the failing transplanted kidney produced. Someone out there is a match. I just need help to get the word out. I am registered with the Tampa General Transplant program:

Jessica Suarez

DOB 5/3/1976

Transplant Coordinator: Trisha Hudson (813)844-5648

Living Kidney Donor Program: (813)844-5669

My email is bless1211@yahoo.com.

As you will see in the pictures I am sending you, I am a proud mother of two BEAUTIFUL girls. My youngest Madeline is 14 and started her first year of high school. My oldest Briana is 22, she is stationed in Georgia serving our country in the U.S. Airforce. My husband David, also a Veteran of the US Army and my rock has been by my side for 15 years. He himself is a living kidney donor. He donated his kidney to someone he didn't know 5 years before we met. This is why I am praying, wishing, hoping that someone will find it in their heart to do the same for me. As for me, well I am in my second semester of college. I decided to go back to school after enduring all these medical issues. I figured if I could handle kidney failure, dialysis, transplant, transplant failure, and dialysis again. I could handle going back to school. I'm finishing up my prerequisites so that I can apply for the Sonography Program at HCC. The cause of my kidney failure was caught by ultrasound. I want to be able to give back to the dialysis and transplant community by being able to work side by side with the doctors and surgeons of transplants. Thanks again for any help you might be able to give :)

Sincerely,

Jessica Suarez
