Red Tide Outbreak Reaches Tampa Bay

This is just heartbreaking. Manatees, dolphins, sea turtles and hundreds of thousands of fish have been found on and near the beaches in Pinellas County. 

Scientists are collecting samples now and county and city crews have been cleaning up fish that washed up on the shore. Clean-up will continue this week.

Yesterday was the real first day I witnessed the Red Tide appear on the Island in which I live. I knew it was in the air for weeks with my eyes burning, with continual sinus problems. As I walked the beach catching my breath several times, I knew I needed to document something. .
