Deadline Approaches For Jeffrey Epstein Victims To File Compensation Claim

There's a deadline this week in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein case.

"I have no doubt that there are more women that are out there that are just still afraid to come forward."

Palm Beach County lawyer Spencer Kuvin represents several women who claim they were sexually abused by the late money manager at his Palm Beach estate and elsewhere.

Thursday is the deadline to file a claim for the Epstein Victim's Compensation Fund, which has received over 175 claims and has paid out more than $67 million to claimants.

Victims were asked to first register for the program.

"Without registering all of the potential victims, we really don't know the full scope and breadth of what he did."

Epstein died in his New York jail cell in the summer of 2019 as he awaited trial for recruiting underage girls from local high schools for sex.

His one-time girlfriend and long-time confidant Ghislaine Maxwell is behind bars and facing charges in the case.
