Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Paused

The Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control have announced that they are “recommending a pause in the use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine out of an abundance of caution.“

The move comes amid concerns about possible links between the vaccine and blood clots in some who have received the single dose shot.

The FDA is expected to detail why it wants to stop using the Johnson and Johnson's single-dose COVID vaccine this morning.

This comes after six women developed a rare blood clot two weeks after getting their shot. The CDC also agrees on a pause and will meet tomorrow to further review the cases.
