A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting at drivers along I-95 in Florida.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office says a 59-year old man was shot in the stomach at about 6 a.m. Sunday while driving northbound near Hobe Sound. He pulled over and called 911.
Meanwhile, a Riviera Beach police officer who was headed northbound in the same area stopped to help the victim when 35-year old Aaron Fedukovich of Ocala walked out of the wooded area holding a gun. The officer told the man to drop the gun and took him into custody.
Detectives determined that Fedukovich fired several shots at passing vehicles as he was driving northbound on the interstate and shot himself in the arm. He was taken to hospital, where he was treated then released into custody, charged with aggravated battery.
Detectives also received a report from an Indian River County resident who discovered bullet holes in his vehicle. He was in the general area at the time of the incidents and detectives are working to determine if it's related.
