Britney Spears Thanks Charlie Crist for Support on Instagram

LOS ANGELES -- Late last year, Tampa Bay congressman and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist sent a letter to the attorneys representing Britney Spears in her battle to end her conservatorship. He and California congressman Eric Swalwell invited Spears to the White House.

Thursday, Spears responded on Instagram. She says she was "immediately flattered" and grateful that her story was acknowledged. Spears said she felt heard and wants to help others in vulnerable situations and "take life by the balls." She said, "thank you to Congress for inviting me to the White House."

The letter invited her to Capitol Hill to testify.

Crist replied with a video, saying he's "happy for her and glad that her conservatorship resolved."

Spears has been invited to testify in Congress about her conservatorship, which was terminated by a judge in November.
