Tampa mayor Jane Castor will make her first international trip as the city's chief elected official this weekend.
Castor will be part of a delegation of 11 other American mayors in Israel. They'll spend a week in the Middle Eastern nation meeting with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.
The trip was originally scheduled for last October, but was postponed because of the COVID pandemic. It's organized by the American Jewish Committee, and is designed to give local leaders a deeper understanding of Israel and the Israeli people.
