A Florida man has been sentenced for defrauding homeowners in six counties, from Palm Beach to Brevard, who paid him for swimming pools they never received.

Brian Washburn was given a 30-year prison sentence for the multi-million dollar scheme involving his company, Amore Pools in Vero Beach.

More than a hundred victims gave Washburn and his wife and fellow defendant thousands of dollars in down payments on pools and wound up with either unfinished construction, leaving giant holes in their yards or never even heard from the company again.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody says that thanks to her Statewide Prosecutors, Washburn will spend a long time behind bars thinking about his "terrible crimes."

He was also ordered to pay over $3 million in restitution.

Chrystal Washburn is still awaiting trial for her part in the scheme.
