Will Smith says he might make a comeback to the Men In Black franchise.

During his recent appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, the Philly rapper-actor told Gillie and Wallo that he's planning to reprise his role as "Agent Jay" in the upcoming installment of the science-fiction comedy.

“I told myself I was done with sequels. I was like, ‘I’ve made enough sequels. I got some new things I want to make,'” he said. “Literally this morning, an hour before I came down here, they just threw the bag for another Men in Black. I was like, ‘Ah, I’m supposed to be going on tour this summer!'”

It's been over a decade since Smith appeared in Men In Black 3 with his co-star Tommy Lee Jones, who played "Agent Kay." The franchise moved forward without both stars in the fourth installment Men In Black: International with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. At the time, Sony Pictures reportedly decided to move on from Smith and Jones' characters. However, the studio reportedly began production on the fifth film last year amid rumors about Smith's return.

“Sony is determined to fix the flaws of Men in Black: International,” Insider Fandom claimed. “After the debacle of the 2019 movie, Sony has learned their lesson, and now they are keen to bring in Will Smith for the upcoming movie. The executives believe that Will Smith’s exclusion was one of the major reasons for the poor response to the last movie.”

Will Smith didn't exactly confirm whether or not he'll be involved, but it's highly likely. During the interview, the 'Bulletproof" rapper hinted that he would be available after he wraps up his upcoming tour for his new album Based On A True Story.
