A Central Florida city is identified to be the fastest-growing city in the nation.

It's Wildwood, in Sumter County, according to a recent report by "U.S. News & World Report."

According to the report, the city has a net migration rate of nearly 20%.

Population: 34,933

Median Age: 64

Median Home Value: $376,208

Median Household Income: $65,032

The study highlighted Florida's appeal to retirees, like its warm weather, leading it to dominate the list with eight cities in the top 25.

In addition, Wildwood is located near a massive 55-plus retirement community, The Villages, which crosses three counties, and includes over 70,000 homes.

Residents who don't meet the age requirement, but who service the growing community, tend to migrate to Wildwood.

While the influx of new residents is expected to boost the state's economy, it could also increase the cost of living.
