Tampa, FL - Carnival Cruise Line has announced new plans for its 2027-2028 cruise season, confirming that the Carnival Spirit will operate out of Tampa.
The ship will offer a mix of Caribbean and Panama Canal voyages designed to give travelers a range of itinerary options from Florida’s Gulf Coast.
According to the company’s announcement, the Carnival Spirit will depart from Tampa on six-, seven-, and eight-day cruises to destinations including Belize, Isla Tropicale, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.
The schedule will also feature six eight-day Panama Canal sailings with stops in Limón, Colón, and Grand Cayman.
One of the highlights of the upcoming season will be a 13-day sailing scheduled to depart on January 30th, 2028.
That extended cruise will include visits to Grand Cayman, Limón, Colón, Aruba, Curaçao, and Ocho Rios, giving guests the chance to experience a wider range of Caribbean and Central American destinations.
The announcement marks a continued expansion of Carnival Cruise Line’s Florida-based operations, which have seen increased demand for longer voyages and new homeport options.
The Carnival Spirit, a 2,124-passenger vessel, has been part of the cruise line’s fleet since 2001 and is known for its mid-size layout and family-friendly features.
Bookings for the Tampa-based itineraries are expected to open soon as the company finalizes its 2027-2028 deployment schedule.
