Right around Thanksgiving time of 2020, California Closets asked how they could give back to the community. They're always doing charitable things and asking how they can help...they're amazing people in the Tampa and St. Pete locations.
I told them that with the crazy year we'd all had, most people just needed the basics...instead of a closet, they thought they should donate a nice pantry makeover and money to stock it full of food before the Thanksgiving holiday.
The nomination process was simple, nominate yourself or someone else with a letter explaining why you could really use a new pantry!
Daniel wrote in for his sister who had no idea he was doing it.
Here's the letter:
It touched me so much that this woman does so much for so many other people and all of us at Mix 100.7 and California Closets decided she should win.
She got a free pantry upgrade from California Closets and $400 in grocery store gift cards!
Check out the 'pantry' she had before...it was just regular cabinet space in her kitchen.
She had NO PANTRY at all before this!

A design consultation with California Closets only takes 30 minutes to an hour and they can look around and get creative with whatever space you have! Here, the designer Lydia Ellis goes through all of the color samples, texture samples, handle choices, different finishes etc. It's the most FUN part of the process! I should know, I've done it twice at my house! They transformed my garage and home office!
Obviously, this one impressed me just like all of their amazing transformations because they had to think outside the box, literally, and create a space for food that didn't exist before!

They even threw in an adorable little bar area where it looks like the old pantry must have been before the house was remodeled.
