Making a Murderer’s Steven Avery Wins Right to Appeal
- Making A Murderer's Steven Avery has just won the right to appeal his murder conviction that will allow his case to be reviewed.
- If you recall, Avery and his nephew were charged with murder in the death of Teresa Halbach back in 2005. A murder Avery says he didn't commit.
- Steven's attorney wants bones that were found in a gravel pit tested to see if they belong to Halbach. If the bones are Halbach's questions arise about how investigators and prosecutors concluded her remains were found in Avery's salvage yard.
- The case is now going to a circuit court for review.
"This evidence has the potential to undo the whole case, so it is a big win," Kathleen Zellner said.
