I guess 150 million Americans had their social security numbers breached through an Equifax hack a few months back and this is the settle the FTC and Equifax agreed on.
I found out about it this morning while prepping for the morning show and I thought it was too good to be true so I looked into it. It's REAL! There was a press conference on the news about it yesterday! I found my name on the list and boom...filed my claim. If you're on the list, you get $125 but you could get more!
Make sure you choose to get the payment instead of 'free credit reporting' from them...And you don't have to file any documents unless you want to show that you were financially affected by the breach.
