My Christmas In Photos

I've had such a wonderful almost two weeks off and I didn't want to let it end without putting it out there just how grateful I am for all the blessings that still exist even if this year wasn't ideal for anyone.

Here are a few highlights from December in photos:

Our Mix 100.7 studio was completely revamped and remodeled thanks to California Closets and their hardworking team.

After hearing from a few listeners on the air who weren't able to put up Christmas trees because of financial hardships, I hit the store with my family after the show, got some trees, packed our kids' toys and clothes into boxes and started delivering them around Tampa Bay. But even though I personally delivered the items, other listeners who heard their stories on the air were so touched that they donated money and I was able to give these families cash along with the items. It was a beautiful experience start to finish. I met some amazing women who I'll remain friends with like Lisa (Below) who donated all the things I gave her (except the Christmas tree) to her preschool kids where she works.

AND an amazing person named Damon from HOLIDAYSCAPES drove many hours to personally put up a few strings of Christmas lights outside their houses for free...during his busy Christmas season for his business!

Then there was the quality time at home with my children for the Holidays. My son and daughter were so appreciative of their gifts. It was heartwarming.

I enjoyed a few too many peppermint bark mimosas which I made from a recipe I saw on Pinterest. And my son had a few too many chocolate bombs which were supposed to be put in a mug and melted with hot milk but he couldn't wait so he just took a big bite right out of it.

By far the best part of Christmas Day was watching the kids go down the zip line that Santa brought them to their backyard! Once I saw how easy it was, I took a few spins on the thing myself!

Now it's time to get back to work on Monday and start fresh with a clean slate. I always love January (and not just because it's my birthday month) because there are endless possibilities for the year ahead. My resolution is to stop making so many plans for the future and try to enjoy each day in the present moment. I just want to be happy and healthy and be the best Mother, wife and person I can be. After the year we've had, I think that's all any of us should ask of ourselves.
